This website with its home page in the domain www.stress.org (the “Site”) is an informational service offered by The American Institute of Stress (“AIS”), much of which is available at no charge to users of the internet, with the express condition that these users agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in these Terms of Use. AIS reserves the right to change these terms and conditions any time. Use of this Site constitutes your acceptance of all of the following terms and conditions, including our Privacy Policy.

AIS does not condone or offer a platform for hate speech.  We will not tolerate it or permit its use on platforms of ours.  We reserve the right to delete or refuse to permit language that we find offensive. This includes, but is not limited to, any or all references that in our judgment are derogatory to people of any race, class, ethnicity, culture, gender, age, profession, orientation, or any population category included in state or federal civil rights legislation, whether or not the language or terms used may have been considered acceptable at some other time, in some other place, or by some other population. Unless otherwise indicated, all information contained on our Site www.stress.org or in written form including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, button icons, photographs, video or audio clips is copyrighted by and proprietary to AIS or owned by and provided by one of our partners and may not be copied, reproduced, transmitted, displayed, performed, distributed, sublicensed, altered, stored for subsequent use or otherwise used in whole or in part in any manner without AIS’s prior written consent, except that the user may make such temporary copies in a single computer’s RAM and hard drive cache as are necessary to browse the Site, and the user may make one permanent copy of each page of the Site, including the AIS magazines, to be used by the user for personal and noncommercial uses. Unless language on our Site expressly permits certain copying or sharing rights of particular downloadable materials, you must obtain written consent to use any material on or accessible through our Site. Data scraping or web crawling of the Site, other than by search engines for purposes of indexing for search purposes in the ordinary course, is prohibited.

AIS is driven by our commitment to promote an understanding of stress science and stress management as a critical part of overall wellness. As such, AIS allows external, hyper-text links to the AIS Site, provided:

(a) any text-only link must clearly be marked “The American Institute of Stress”;

(b) the appearance, position and other aspects of either the link or the host website may not be such as to damage or dilute the goodwill associated with AIS’s name and trademarks; and
