Biographical Info Tracey B. Kirsch has over three decades of management experience with a long history of, and passion for helping people.From 1982 through 1991 Tracey worked at the Louise S. Davis Developmental Center (LSDDC) in New Orleans. On her resignation, she was Director of Residential Services for this 52 bed intermediate care facility for the developmentally disabled. Tracey earned a BA in psychology from the University of New Orleans in 1989.In 1992, she joined Electromedical Products International, Inc. (EPI), manufacturer of Alpha-Stim® medical technology for pain, mood and sleep disorders, where she currently serves as president. She is proficient in all aspects of CEO level management, including financial matters, manufacturing, sales and marketing, human resources, regulatory affairs and operations. She was instrumental in gaining regulatory approval for the company’s products in many countries including Europe (the CE Mark), Australia, Canada, China, Taiwan, Japan, Africa and the Middle East. In 2005 Tracey negotiated a Federal Supply Schedule contract with the United States government for the use of Alpha-Stim within the Department of Defense and Veteran’s Affairs Medical Centers. Within a few years The US government, mainly the Army and Navy (Special Forces, SEALS), as well as over 90 Veteran hospitals, became the largest market segment. In 2018, after a series of research studies, the National Health Service of the United Kingdom is positioning Alpha-Stim as their primary treatment for anxiety, prior to psychological intervention and medications within their national health care system due to its safety, efficacy and cost savings. In 2016 EPI was acquired, in part, by a private equity investment firm.Tracey joined the board of directors of the nonprofit American Institute of Stress (AIS, www.stress.org) in 2012. In 2014 she became the managing director. In this capacity she oversees all business and accounting activities as well as strategic planning for the Institute. The mission of AIS is to help all people, most notably Service Members, improve the quality of their lives through understanding the stress response and how to manage it. AIS trains and credentials health care professionals in stress management, publishes two free magazines, Contentment and Combat Stress, manages an informative website and has an active media presence. In 2017 Tracey was featured in a documentary film produced by AIS titled The Body Electric.Tracey and her husband, Dr. Daniel L. Kirsch, coauthored a textbook chapter chronicling the US Food and Drug Administration’s medical device regulatory processes with an emphasis on EPI’s 25+ year battle to downgrade cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES) devices from being miscategorized in a Class III status. Currently she serves on the 13 county North Central Texas Workforce Solutions Board (NCTWSB) and their Oversight and Accountability Committee. The NCTWSB oversees the planning, oversight, policy guidance and design of services in 11 Texas Workforce Centers located across the 14-county workforce development area. The NCTWSB is one of 28 Workforce Development boards in the State of Texas. Workforce Board members are leaders within their communities and are appointed by the chief elected official of the county in which they reside or operate their business.She served on various committees of the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce (CofC) and was elected their first woman Chairperson in 1998. In September 2018 she completed another term as a member of the Board of Directors and served on its Finance Committee. She is also a member of Envision Mineral Wells which is a collaborative effort between community stake holders, the Mineral Wells Area CofC and the Mineral Wells City Council to identify, prioritize and act on critical issues facing Mineral Wells. She also serves on the CofC Education and Workforce Development Committee.She was a member of the Board of Directors of Hope, Inc., a shelter for victims of family violence. In 1998 she was Chair of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the Texas Association of Businesses and CofC and has served on TAB’s Board of Directors. In 2017 she accepted an invitation to become a member of the Academy of US Veterans Executive Branch, where she is on the Voting Committee for the annual Veterans’ Awards.Tracey was named Businesswoman of the Year by the National Republican Congressional Committee’s Business Advisory Council in 2003. In December 2006 the American Biographical Institute recognized Tracey as one of the Great Woman of the 21st Century for her Significant Accomplishments in Medical Industry Management.
